What is the point of the Q&A Forum?

People that post a question, never get an answer.
Some questions go back several years.

The only thing missing is a nice chorus of crickets as a background sound.

If any Forum needs to have a background sound playing it should be the Q&A Forum ... with a nice steady chorus of crickets. >>

This is better suited for the q&a forum! Lol!

Most people post their questions on this forum. You are right-a Q&A forum is not needed. I never even check it.

The fact that no one, except management, is permitted to post any responses severely limits its usefulness. I have clicked on there once and found an interesting question that I posted over here and opened up for discussion.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. A better use for that space would be a Forum for young numismatists, IMO.

Most likely, it was a good idea that isn't used anymore because a small minority tends to abuse it by inputting rude remarks, debating the answer, or monopolizing the board, for example

There used to be a weekly Q & A session with HRH. Now it seems to be a weakly thing.

When David Hall and Ron Guth were in charge, the Q & A Forum was regularly responded too.

However, as you know, things have changed over the years and IMO, the Q & A Forum should just go bye bye and be replaced with a Modern Coins Forum.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
