    VG08 at best and Good-06 is in play, because the rim area around the date is so weak.
    When in doubt, don't.

    G-08 Looks a bit stronger on the obverse rim than my 1889-CC which is G-06.

    What DennisH sai. VG08 is best grade available for it and thats the grade I'd give it. Can't rule out a G06 at the services due to the rim flatness in area pointed out by DennisH.

    Sheldon used that number in his book although I suppose the services only use VG-8 and 10.

    Probably in a G-6 holder, but you probably think it could get VG on a resub, and I agree. image
