wait times for a coin purchase .. what is borderline rediculous ?

ordered a few coins a few weeks back (phone order) how slow is just plain BS ? am i impatient to expect a timely turnaround ? if three or four weeks is average, the numismatic market must be booming !

I'd say over 9 days is where it's ridiculous, unless other arrangements are made.

I have no problems remembering who not to buy from again. And poor service is a sure way to make the short list.

I always make it a point to ship the following business day or at least, the next after the payment is cleared. I start getting irritable after about 10 or 12 days.

this is a recognized coin world seller, this is my first order with them, and im not sure i would ever order again, but the prices were "redbook" which is a no-brainer for scarce seated coins.

Was it CC or check? Checks always take longer unless you have an established account.... CC should ship immediately - although some dealers have a weekly shipment regimen. Call, if not shipped yet, cancel. Cheers, RickO

Call and ask for a tracking number. A coin dealer I deal with ships overnight delivery. Your wait is too long.

I think I know who you're talking about. I ordered something from a big CoinWorld seller who doesn't have a live website and the order took over 2 weeks. That was a bit long imho.

Also, if it's a small dealer and he is attending a major coin show, that may delay shipping your order. Suggest calling him and asking him for the status of your order.
