Tough to see much in the obverse pic... I'll say AU53 but AU55 wouldn't surprise me either.

XF40 If I only look at the shield on the obverse, I would say VF30 but perhaps the shield wore more
quickly on the type 1 SLQs.

You guys can't grade a 16 like 17 TY-I's it's an entirely different issue, as even MS67's are mushy and soft all over the obverse details.

You just need to be able to differentiate between weak striking details and rub.

There also not much of a difference between most TPG designated FH's and non full heads.

    Yes, very important points.
I also agree that it appears to be in the AU grade range.

I'm in the 40-45 camp from the picture if it's not a genuine.

On 16's your better off grading the reverse before even looking at the obverse.

For this coin to fall into the XF grades, there is usually some flattening on the high points, particularly on Liberty's right leg. The example shown here shows signs of lighter wear or rub, indicative of an AU coin.
Still, it's only an image of a coin, and I've learned not to be too sure of myself when grading this way.
For all I know, it could be a "Genuine" coin with AU details, cleaned, etc.

Hard to tell all the mush from the rub in the photo, but the rub I can see makes this a mid-grade AU.

XF45... but I really don't know this series and graded SLQs always seem to have lower scores than I expect.
    When in doubt, don't.

    My first thought was 50-53.
After more thought I'm going to 45...

Thanks everyone for the great comments and guesses. Some of you hit it on the nail.

    Our host graded it AU55.

The coin has eye appealing colors on the obv (light gold on the left and light blue on the right)

that the scanner was not able to capture.

No offense...but if that coin is a 55 your pictures suxs! Definately AU details but definately looks messed with in the pictures! Yucky looking toning on the obv. with no luster and perhaps dip created luster on the Rev. I actually figured from you pictures it was an AU details or netted to a 45! image
