Five years later, I finally finished my Indian Head cents set!

lkeigwinlkeigwin Posts: 16,893 ✭✭✭✭✭
Yay, I'm happy to be done. I picked up the last one at the CSNS Chicago HA auction, the 1867.

Well, we're never really done with our sets. There is always room for improvement and I could name a half dozen right now. But I enjoy the sense of completion nonetheless.

I completed a mostly gem red set of early Lincolns (1909 - 1958). And my 98% complete large cents are brown. So I decided to go for mostly red brown IHC's, targeting MS64/65.

Here's a look at this modest set.
Lance.

What a set!!! It instantly tells of your high standards!! The 1878 PCGS MS64 caught my eye the most. Well done, and congrats on your achievement!

Wow! Great set, and great presentation.

I have mostly focused on Morgan & Peace dollars, but I have to say that Indian (and Flying Eagle) cents were my first love. You're tempting me to go back to the copper side image

Congratulations on the completion of a truly superb collection. I know how gratifying that can be. While the Indian Cents are not my particular forte, I can certainly appreciate the collection that you have pictured. Of course, 'completion' can also be anticlimactic, as much of what we know as 'collecting' is the thrill of the hunt. Enjoy your collection, take it out every once in a while and study and appreciate it, and always maintain an eye for upgrading and improving.

Wow Lance, you have some of the most beautiful coins of anyone I know. You have a GREAT eye for collecting and finding beautiful coins that any collector would love and appreciate. These Indian cents your showing is another great example of what you have accomplished, this along with your Capped Bust half dollar collection. Hats off to you my friend and thanks for sharing. This deserves a big Chuck thumbs up!!

    Hey Lance
Congrats on a great set you put together.
It is easy to run out with a checkbook and throw together a set, but it only takes a minute looking at your set to know that you put a lot of time and experience into assembling her.
Enjoy the feeling. You deserve it.
