Kennedy guys, are these anything special?

pcgs69pcgs69 Posts: 4,359 ✭✭✭✭
One of my friends had these stashed away for years. Looking through, there were a couple of neater pieces. Is there anything here worth a premium?

1965 that looks prooflike to me? Are these relatively common? When I snapped the pics, the mirrors were more prevalent, but they don't really show in the pics.
Also 1964 with nice toning. Worth any premium?

The 65 looks SMS, which doesn't carry any premium.

Your "prooflike" is simply a Special Mint Set coin produced with polished dies under higher than normal pressure.

These sets were sold in 1965, 1966, and 1967. A lot are nice looking coins but only the highest grades with the deepest Cameos provide worthwhile premiums.

Other than that, most sell for a bit over melt.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Nothing special, mainly just silver content... Cheers, RickO

Common and worth melt in that condition. Probably from a '65 Special Mint Set.

If it were pristine and cameo or deep cameo, it would be worth a bit more.

The others are worth about melt also.
