Vallejo Coin Show- report- first time

Hello!
I am a YN. I recently went to the Vallejo Numismatic Society's Coin Show in Vallejo, CA. It was only on Sunday, which was rather odd, so that definiently had a drag on the amount of dealers present. I did not see any members of CU. There was approximatly 50-60 dealers. Most dealed in US coins, with some currency, and world coins. I bought alot of stuff, but most noticable was two (2) 1932-S Washington Quarters. One in G one in VG. The public was VERY slow to come in. It was NEVER busy AT ALL. Ghost town. Dealers thought so as well. First report, btw.

<< <i>Use this lack of attendants as an opportunity. Perhaps contact the show organizer and ask he/she if you could volunteer to put small posters around the mall, library, police station, school, public forum, etc. The more word spreads out about a coin show, the more enthusiasts will show up. So what kind of other coins were dealers mostly selling? Are you looking to specialize in quarters? >>
There was mostly a lot of type coinage. Not much Capped Bust of anything.

<< <i>Yeah. It was a nice show. I was running the youth/ana table for most of it, with little breaks to "run the floor". My photography skills aren't the best. ;/ Sorry. Don't expect any pictures.

But we expect you to become the next show reporter like Charmy! Just as a joke to give you a hard time.

It's too bad that it was a ghost town; this show has in the past been a pretty good small show. Did they have any specialty clubs meeting there?

Nice report. Maybe a low turnout due to the economy. Wasn't Vallejo the first big city in Calif to file for BK?
<< <i>Did you only buy certified coins over $20? >>
Yes sir. LOL! Lowest was 100 dollars though.

One day Sunday coin shows are very common. Coin shows come in every size. Some are very small while others are huge and smaller shows like this one do not merit more than one day.
Some dealers reported being very busy at the very beginning when doors opened. By the time I got there it slowed down substantially.

That's awesome that you're buying certified key-date Washingtons at such a young age. Now don't make the mistake of selling them and blowing the money on girls when you get older (like I did
My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.

But on the flip side, don't go ultra cheap with girls either. They share information and information gets around. Spend money on the girls who merit it.
