<< <i>Pretty and based on the pics it sure looks like it could have been in a lot higher graded holder. >>
That`s a good observation! One time it had resided in a PCGS 66 holder before I owned it...
Edited to add that it is currently listed in coin facts with a different cert # as a 66... I`m just guessing that after sometime it was cracked and came back in a 65 holder as the owner I purchased the coin from had submitted it as a 65 and came back with the new holder/cert# and a plus...

Remember if the grade don't fit you must resubmit as if you had done a GTG thread I would have guessed 66+ >>
Good thinking Broadstruck! I like that thinking... Actually I do plan on submitting my entire collection one day for the works and for the time being I try and keep them the way they are... That is uless the temptation is just too great...
I normaly don't care for toners but that is kind of nice and not suspect in the least. Although I do some time wonder if the blast side of such coins was touched up with a q-tip and diluted dip.

I'm generally not a textile toning fan but the effect on this piece is spectacular.
I bet that blue just 'pops' off the coin.
Congrats!

Sweet coin and looks just a bit low grade wise.
