  That's it. Not that I HAVEN'T wanted to own any more of these, the funds just hadn't been there.

  I have all of them all including the gold. The lowerst grade is Fine-15 for the 1796 half dollar. The best grade is MS-64 for an 1800 half cent.

  Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

  Most collectors will answer Zero on these tough types, as the poll shows. Most collectors seem to prefer something they can collect in uncirculated or proof grades
  (or at least not genuine/details, as most examples of these early coins are, like it or not)

  4 - probably the 3 cheapest Draped Bust types, plus the half dime with the date barely visible.
  I was able to ID its LM variety to confirm the date, though! :-)

  13) Draped Bust Half Dollar (1801-1807)
  16) Draped Bust Dollar (1798-1803)
  
  No plans to expand my type coins, or even my other coins, but I still enjoy attributing photos of coins.
