This is undoubtedly the big DDO for the date. As someone else mentioned, it is not worth getting graded though.

The best are already obtainable at a cost you cannot beat for the coin that it is. I searched for a year and went through thousands of NEW coins in 1995-1996 looking for one. When I finally found one years after, I'd already bought them online in MS 68. I paid $180. To me, it was worth it since I'd spent so much time searching. The cost for encapsulation for the error isn't a high price to pay to protect it, but it's likely the coin will never be in any worse condition , once it has found the "hands , eyes, and brains" of the seeker.

If it means something special to you, spend a couple bucks on a nice plastic container.
Like 2Sides said, it is now in good hands so all is good.

A 2X2 is OK but requires some degree of care in handling. A flip is OK, but not too attractive.
A good coin container...too many good brands to name... is all you would need at a cheap price. No extra handling, mailing, insuring etc...
Slabbing would result in losing money on the coin.

If it has sentimental value, consider a body modification implant.
