That 1877-S SLH and the 1878-S Trade $1 are my favs!!!
Funny, I see no dirty gold anywhere and that's just fine RYK.
BTW, do NOT trust Stefanie whatever you do......she wants your coins in her cluthches!

Sort of...but not exactly.

The 1849 coins are for my 1849 set. (I am going to part with one of the 49-O half dimes.)

The SLQ and seated half were from my Dansco 7070 and candidates for my S-mint registry set. I bought the SLQ from coinlieutenant many moons ago, raw. IIRC, it was BB'ed back in the day, and it got BB'ed again (but now we call it "Genuine"). The seated half also got Gen'ed. I purchased it raw from Jade Rare Coins about seven years ago.

The Barber half was purchased from a former forum member and Barber half specialist a long time ago for my 7070 in a 45 holder, and it is back in the holder for my SF set.

The Trade dollar was purchased from Mark Feld for the 7070 in a 55 holder, and now it is in a 58 holder. This is also for my S-mint set.

The SLQ and seated half will return to the album, and the other coins will be divided between the 1849 date set and the S-mint type set.

The coins were logged in at PCGS on 1/2/2013, and the grades and photos were finalized today (2/21).

It's refreshing to see tru views of well circulated type coins! Too many folks seem to splurge on those photos for mint state pieces or bust halves.
I love to see the dirt, the crud and the natural tone after being circulated.

Great coins! I see that you have narrowed down your collecting focus and gotten on board in one direction. Good for you!

I love TV and Phil Arnold, don't get me wrong, but I don't like how TV depicts circulated coin like the above. Doesn't look natural and adds some contrasty hot spots that make the coin look glossy....and I have a feeling that they are not.

Before I posted the first time, I just looked at the coins, not the posts below. When I went through and saw that SLQ the first time, it looked vaguely familiar. I remember buying that coin from in Hawaii from a guy named Alan Katz. Still keep in touch with him. Sorry it came back cleaned...

Did I advertise it as such when I sold it?

Something is happening to the trueview photos published on the coinfacts website. Newer ones are not as attractive as previous for the same coins (I know from re-submissions).
