Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.
and continue to be pretty hot. Nicely toned type is also high on the list.

I get pretty upset when the thing I'm trying to collect suddenly becomes hot. That just means I can buy less of it and expect a lower return at sale time.
Someday when I'm in the divesting instead of collecting mode I'll feel differently.

Seriously though, gold is hot. And as close to spot is HOW HOT ... unfortunately that left the door open for acquiring plenty of large cents and other coins at discounted prices, relative to numismatic value vs. intrinsic value.
Grading is HOT
Stickers on premium quality graded coins brought a fresh new ringing sound in a lot of people's ears as it's fattened the wallet and ensured that "grading" stays above board.
In all, things have changed and stayed pretty much the same. Ask anybody. Most of us agree, in part, anyway.
