Edit for spelling.
Hoard the keys.
I knew it would happen.
After consideration, I think I'll agree with Type2 and jmski52.

I think the dimes will retain their value over the long haul.
But I will agree with others and say the quarters will out perform in the short run, but once the series is over I can see them declining.
It's proving pretty challenging. They certainly don't seem to turn up as often as the Statehoods.
I had a vague notion that the mintages were lower, but haven't really followed along that closely.
I have gotten to the point where I can spot one straight off, even if it's obverse-up in the till. The relief looks very different.

<< <i>It could depend a lot on something as simple as what Dansco is going to do with their albums going forward... >>
The Roosevelt dime albums I've seen advertised do not have a space for the 1996-W. So the 2012-S quarters are on equal footing in that respect.
Another thing the 2012-S quarters have going for them is that some people collect them by Mint-issued 40-coin rolls and 100-coin bags, while the 1996-W dimes are collected only as singles. (They were only available in the 1996 Mint Sets, one coin per mint set.)

Ive got an album that has no slot for the 96W(no proof) and another(including proof) that does. My vote on the original question would be for the quarters simply due to higher collector demand and Im a roosevelt person!

the obverse portrait of Washington is more like the 1932 original than the spagheti hair state quarters.

But I suppose these Uncirculated S-mints are issued only in sets and not for circulation?
Won't do me much good, since I'm assembling my set strictly from the till at work.
Maybe I'll buy some rolls from the credit union and see what I can find. But it's to be a "from change only" collection.

Now that more people know about them, I wonder if they will suddenly take-off or if they will take the same path as the 2012's?
<< <i>The reported sales of 2013 S Unc White Mt. quarters stands at 756,500.....nothing to ignore as a alot of coins sold in less than 30 days. Comments.... >>
More "S" White Mountain quarters can be struck anytime during calendar 2013. If they've struck only 1.4 million so far, I think it's likely that more of them will be made.
