Is it OK to submit proof coins in US Mint packing?
I found an incredibly toned 1961 proof Lincoln in an original proof set. Is there any advantage to cut the coin from the set and leave it in the mint packing? It's one of those to nice to be real toners and my thinking is this might eliminate the chance for it to be bagged. Anyone have any first hand knowledge or input?
Thanks.

In fact I think submitting in the set just means the helpers put it into flips before it goes to the graders rather than you putting them in flips.
but you can submit it in the mint cello no problems.

How would one go about ATing coins in mint cellos?
I would bet that your coin will come back slabbed and with a PCGS grade whether you submit it in the mint cello or if you send it in a flip (from the sounds of it). Post a photo if you have one.

I also recommend when you send it in for grading, you also order a TrueView photo for $10. It will be the best photo you will ever get for that coin since it will be photographed out of the slab.
