Hello everyone !
I have been a long time lurker on this site, and finally decided its time to join. I'm 38, and have been collecting for about 3 years now. I have only gotten really serious about it a year ago. To make a long story short, I was doing the 7070. When I decided to sell, many were crackouts, I got burned bad, downgrades, BB, ect. I be read all the horror stories, crackers remorse, ect.. Lesson well learned. For the past year, I have read all the books, and articles I could find. I don't own but a few coins anymore. I goto all the shows, all the shops I find . I look at as many coins as I can. Look at the grade, condition, and learn what I can, pick as many brains as possible. I never spend a dime. I have finally decided, and began a year ago, to put back my coin money, until I have enough to complete the set I have decided to do., the 1837 mint set. I want the set to be in the 63 to 65 range. I did the math, and will be able in the next 2 years to have it all saved. Then when that just perfect, coin comes around, I can buy it. If it takes 10 years to find the right coins, so be it, I'm in no hurry, and want the set to look just right. I won't have a big collection, but will be a nice one. I hope to be a participating member here.

I love the no stars dime and half dime. Love the 37 reeded edge, and the bust quarter . Just like all the coins that year. And thought it would make a beautiful set. I do want them all graded by our host.
Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Practice makes perfect & nobody is perfect. So, practice being nobody.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
