Irish Twins ...

... When I saw these 2 full figured ladies in the FUN auction, they both caught my attention. Due to the cost I decided to only go after the 1812 as I prefer the design of the Capped Bust to the Fat Head. I bid reasonably for the 1812 and was summarily blown out of the water. As luck would have it, a dealer I had done business with in the past, and whose website I frequent on a daily basis, had been the high bidder on both coins. We were able to work out a deal and now I am the proud caretaker of these two beauties who are centerpieces in my collection.

Born under a year apart... I used to work with a guy who had 12 kids and the age difference between the youngest and eldest was 11 years.

I have "Irish Twins." 1 month out of the year they are the same age.

Ankur, they may have been pricey, but I have come to realize that I would much rather pay a strong price for a coin that has all of the qualities that I am looking for, than purchase coins that may need to be replaced or upgraded down the road.

Your bid was "blown out of the water" on one but later you still ended up with a "deal" on both? You must be living right if this is true.
