Crossover question--re: new rules/fees
With the new rules and fee structure in place, I have a question regarding crossovers. Perhaps it has been answered here before, or maybe someone has encountered the situation privately.
If you submit a coin for crossover, and the coin does not cross at the NGC grade but instead crosses lower, do you still pay the Guarantee Premium? It seems more like a penalty at the point, but I just thought I should ask and not assume.

<< <i>I wonder if they have an ex-Airline exec managing their financial planning. The Guarantee Premium for me is poor planning. Raise the total price and make the fee structure more simple. They are only drawing attention to an effective price increase that is so visible it can never normalize in the mind of the consumer. >>
All of this talk about a "guarantee premium" has me concerned.

<< <i>Not my post, but thanks all for the information !!!
As far as I am concerned, all we have is opinion and commentary, not information. Perhaps some one who has experienced this or someone from PCGS will tell us the answer.
Frankly, I am hesitatant to call PCGS because I am not sure that I will be able to articulate the question in such a way that we will arrive at the correct answer.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday! Whenever a crossover coin meets or exceeds the minimum grade specified on the submission form, the Guarantee Premium will be applied.

Hi, Corbin,
Therefore, if the coin crosses at no min grade 3 grades lower than the current grade, the 1% fee gets paid, correct?

No minimum grade = P01 is the minimum grade, or if you specified Genuine then that is the minimum specified grade.

Yes, but why would you send a cross at any grade? Just crack it out and send it in raw, thus no fee unless the value is over 100K.

Huh?
Well that does it for me. NO MORE CROSSOVERS. I'll be the judge on the crack out or I simply will NOT buy NGC Slabs.
