A common $10 with Character...

... I don't know a lot about gold and see that some folks don't like the copper toning on gold (At least I think that's what it is)... but I kind of like it. Comments appreciated.

I am not a gold expert but I like it a lot. Looks original to me. I have a $5 liberty head that looks similar.

Great looking coin with the look that most collectors want. Don't confuse original copper toning with copper spots which most collectors find distracting and undesirable.

I will say the reed marks on the obverse portrait made me think of Delilah from Unforgiven. Granted it was 1 in the morning and my son had a fever, but I immediately thought of that character.

Thanks for the nice comments. I actually also received an 1880 $5 along with it yesterday... it's just the pics didn't turn out as nice, but will give you an idea. They kind of match up nice.

Whle I'm at it... since I had my camera out I thought I'd retry to take pics of one of my Franklins. I gave up as I can't seem to figure out how to get everything right at the same time... At any rate you can see this one has some character as well...
