Is there some scarce variety here? I've seen these 2 1964-D MS-63 quarters recycled on TT for over a year, always for a price > $100. What gives?

I was thinking Type-C Rev, but I don't think that's it - tail feathers should show more distinct centerlines.

And it doesn't appear to be the DDR or DDO either...

EDIT: Just noticed $150.00 is the consignor's reserve - the coins didn't actually realize that number.

kinda looks like ddr but they are so over-exposed it is hard to discern

Simple--Seller is looking for a sucker. That is the opening reserve bid--I really do not believe that anyone will bid on them.

Maybe the seller bought them in other-brand holders, crossed them to PCGS and they crossed lower than expected...so he is just trying to get out of the hole he is in, unsuccessfully? All types of reasons.

Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.

It's just an unfortunate side-effect of Teletrades new format. The lack of buy-back fees, as nice as it sounds, leads to many way way over-reserved coins polluting the auctions.

When the percentage of over-reserved coins reaches a certain threshold, it really makes you think twice about browsing the auctions. Teletrade is going to find that out the hard way.

I've watched those 2 coins for better than 3 years! Always the same
    Ridiculous buy backs.
I think that the seller firmly believes that they are Type C reverses
When in reality they are only well stuck in the area of the leaf
    Under the arrow tips.

I've seen them sell.......only to be returned.

You'd think that Teletrade would smarten up?
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
