I'm a bit surprised with the insert on this ICG 1795 half

The insert denotes the cleaning but not the obverse post-mint damage?
Seems odd to me.

It was cleaned. Cleaned with a hammer.

Only another reason their brand of grading is not as respected by the market overall.

It is tradition, or policy (at PCGS too) to list only the Worst problem for a Multiple-problem coin
And everyone knows, there is no worse problem than a wipe of the surfaces on a 200+ year old circulated coin

Wow, ICG is never going to get respect with that kind of grading. I would be more willing to accept environmental damage than a cleaning.
