Does anyone see this series rising in popularity over the coming months/years due to anniversary and an influx of new collectors?

Can't say with any certainty - but I seriously doubt
the series will automatically nudge up in price just
because it's 100 years old. From what I have heard,
some dates are on the march. Major price gains in the
last six months on certain key dates. (Unsubstainiated).

I purchased an upgrade for my 1921-S Buffalo last year
in a PCGS 64 holder. I have been led to believe I have done
well ... Can't really see where it's increased that much since
I purchased it. Maybe if I were following the series, I'd feel
    more confident discussing it.

Having seen the hundred year anniversary of the Lincoln cent pass without fanfare, I seriously doubt it.

No, and 2014-2015 will be a good buying opportunity for buffs.

Yeah, you said it all. I think it will have to be up to us collectors/dealers to push the issue as a few of us are trying to "push"interest in the 2009 Formative Years series in the variety category. All we can do is keep our fingers crossed in both issues.I love the American Indian (Buffalo)nickle,as you can tell from my icon! - joey imageimage

Yep...really like the Buffs, but have not heard of any plans or even conversation about an anniversary celebration. Cheers, RickO

I had thought that the 100-year anniversary of the Lincoln cent would have generated more buzz in the field, but it went out with a whimper. After that, I did not have high hopes for the Buffalo.
