FUN Question

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I am thinking of making my first trip down to FUN. I see that there are 1500 dealers there, but would any of you more experienced people know if there were a good number of bullion dealers/tables there? Silver art bars? I am new to the whole coin show world and didn't know if certain shows were more specialized or anything like that. Thanks!

They will be represented . As to where they will be, look for the cheap tables in the back when you get there. And don't expext them much after Saturday mid day.

Plenty of bullion dealers. Most prefer cash unless you have a history with them, then a check is ok. There will be silver art bars throughout, you just have to check every table. That's the fun of FUN

FUN is one of the two largest, well attended shows of the year. It is a veritable cornucopia of numismatic delights. You will be glad that you went.

Due to the large size of the show, I suggest coming up with a plan of attack, by spending time on the FUN Show website studying the dealer list. In that way, you can prioritize your table visits. A very large show such as FUN can be intimidating to a new collector. A plan of attack will help to mitigate that.

You should be able to find silver bullion, but I'm not so sure about silver art bars. Even the economy section display space is important, and art bars that might sell for $35 or $40 apiece not be common. The art bar market has been dead for a long time. A lot of those pieces are targets for melting, not resale.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
