Error Enthusiasts - Broadstruck or Off-Center? Interesting commentary from Mike Diamond.
I recently sent this picture to Mike Diamond for his opinion on if this coin was Broadstruck or was Off-Center. I thought I had posed a dumb question as I think I should have been able to determine it myself; but as you will see in his response, this coin tells two stories.
This is why I love errors, this situation is not unique but interesting nevertheless.
Thanks Mike!

<< <i>Since the peripheral letters and stars are complete, I would consider this to be an uncentered broadstrike. There may be an additional slight horizontal misalignment on the obverse face toward the left, but it's too insignificant to take note of. Now, I do note that the denticles ARE cut off on the left side of the obverse face. It's possible that some specialists consider this to be the threshhold for an off-center strike. So I can't provide a definitive answer to your question. >>

Was this one slabbed by ngc/ncs and what did they call this error?
I just thought that anyone could get the two mixed up when presented an example like this and that it might be something to learn from.
