Just got my grades on a small economy submission back last night. There were several coins I thought had a great shot at being cameos, but only one received a CAM designation. Take a stab at which one it was?

Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.
Let me just say that I am surprised by the results.

<< <i>You do realize you gave us the cert# for dime #1. And that the coins in your submission have sequential cert#s, right?

I do, and if anyone wants to "cheat" by looking at the cert #'s to prove how smart they are, that's their right...and to their detriment of having the joy of anwering the question without looking. To each their own.

I'm most disappointed in the Lincoln not being given the CAM, though I knew that was going to be a tough one to make, it is very heavily frosted as the photo shows, and I still haven't made one in a CAM after having submitted 5 now. This one has much stronger cameo contrast than my current 1952 Lincoln, and I was hopeful that it would make the cut for a CAM designation, it may be a good candidate for a conservation after the first of the year as it has a haze on the fields.
I never really doubted that the Franklin would get the CAM designation and am quite surprised that it was not deemed worthy of the designation.
Continuing to log tuition, I guess. Thanks for playing!
<< <i>Well...as those of you who checked the certificate numbers have already figured out, the first 1954 dime is the one that received the Cameo designation.

The haze it's what's killing the CAM for the Lincoln. Frost on the devices is only half the equation for a CAM designation. Contrast between the devices and fields is the second part of the equation.

The last dime is close. The lighting angle on the first dime is inconclusive.

Anyway, I voted for the 52 cent. Several others are borderline cam based on the photos, but worth a shot.
Based on the original photo of the '54 dime, I would not have guessed it was a cameo.
