  Very attractive piece. Never have seen that NGC insert before.
  Was this a limited insert? I take it the "T" is for toning.

  Yes the "T" is for toned. This label appeared only for a few weeks; however, I have never seen one command a premium. My thought is that the premium is for the toning.

  That's an Appalachian Hoard nickel. The hoard was known for its neon war nickels, mostly with very vibrant greens and pinks. Lots of coins were certified some time ago (early 2000s?) but the general consensus switched a few years later that the coins are AT. 8 years ago, these were very commonplace, but now are much harder to find; perhaps they've been slowly bought back by NGC.

  i do recall a bit about some of the threads, and there are a few about a couple diff toned hoarded nickels, didn't recall that it was purported that they were/are AT!!
