Very nice coin...as I have always enjoyed this particular error coin.....I have one with an old ANAC grading with a photographed card with its picture and all the info. Been in the bank since about 1982 and it's an AU-50!!! I would grade that coin an AU but I'm a tough grader but I do like it especially if it isn't in a slab!!! Take it easy.....Lion
The Only Difference Between Men And Boys.....Is The Price Of The Toys
Has the right attributes of being the real deal, XF40-45 detail, but it does appear to have been cleaned or lightly polished, as others stated - unless it's just the lighting.
I am 100% sure it is the lighting. Better photos to come. In hand this coin does not look polished at all. More photos to come soon. This coin will be going to NGC or PCGS soon. I have not decided which one yet.
I just got one of these for my collection less than 2 weeks ago, PCGS AU 55 CAC. Just comparing them, mine is nowhere near as terrifcally lustrous as yours, though it has very few contact marks.
