GTG - Want to try to go for an upgrade

This would be my first shot at going for an upgrade, if it's worth it. It's copper/gilt and I'm not sure if or how that may affect grading.

I'll post the grade it's currently at tomorrow.

No way in heck to grade off that image

Indeed ... my thougths exactly!
Unless the grade is off by 2 or 3 points, what difference would it make? Even it is that much of a difference, it still may not make much difference.
Very kewl piece. Copper/gilt ... interesting ... more about the coin, regardless of the grade, would be welcome reading for me at least.

The background on why it exists is the mint was trying to stop folks from scooping out the centers of the half eagles, so they (Longacre actually) came up with this. It is an eagle sized planchet, but half thickness. And they ran out of V's that day when they made the reverse. Look close, it's an A turned upside down. Cool, huh?
Very cool piece

Well, just Love coins, period.
That is very very cool. I didn't even notice the upside down A in FIVE. I can say, however, IMO I'm glad they passes on this one and went with the other design, just looks better.
I'll guess a P64.
