I only Know of Carl through his post here on this forum , he was so very often insightful and such a positive presence here on these boards. Carl's love of numismatics always seemed to show as did his good nature in his words posted here. One positive in his passing is he is at peace now and my prayers go out to his family at this time. He was one of the good guys to be sure and will be very missed.
This is very sad, he was one of the people that I remember from when I first got into collecting in 2003 or so. He gave me some free buffalo nickels when I was just a kid and he will definitely be remembered.
This is sad news. Carl was already a member of this forum when I joined back in 2001, and we exchanged some messages regarding Jefferson nickels. He was a more prolific poster than I am, and was always a gentleman. He will be remembered and missed as one of the "good guys".
Very sorry to hear of Carl's passing. While I never met him in person, we chatted a few times via PM on various topics like late 1960's Plymouth muscle cars, his #1 1969 TOPPS baseball card registry set, and the attributes of various coin auction houses. Carl will be missed.
Definetely gonna miss our chats on here. I have dealt with him both professionally and personally. He helped me out a lot when I was struggling with the descision to leave the military. A great person and he will be missed. Carl rest in heaven good buddy!

Carl told me some time ago that he had been diagnosed with cancer. He was fighting hard to beat it and he seemed to be doing ok for a while. Very sorry to hear the new of his passing. He was a good guy and a joy to spend time with at local bay Area shows.
We had a few PM's back and forth and always done with a smile! Ten years my junior. Oh my, it brings reality to the front. Rest in Peace Carl. We'll miss you and your smiles. My condolences to the family and friends of Carl.

So sad, my deepest condolences to the Wohlforth family. Never met him, purchased a couple Morgans 3 months ago, from his website via pm's. God bless him and his family, he'll be missed for sure, Scott
I will miss Carl. Although we never met, we shared an interest in cameo proofs and occasionally chatted about them (especially those tough Jeffersons).
A real class act.

He was a good and honorable man. I just did a deal with him last month. Typically smooth and no issues. Carl will be missed. I am shocked as I had no idea.

My dad died of the same thing at the age of 66. But he also chewed tobacco most of his life but did quit a few years. Fact is, humans don't have what it takes to digest grass. A cow does with four stomachs.......as I have been told. Carl will be missed.

My grandfather died from pancreatic cancer when I was only 3. It seems that pancreatic cancer is still the certain killer among cancers.
