CAC won't bean it if they don't think it's NT.

I do like the distinction between NT vs. MA the bean provides.

Just curious...... where is the info for this distinction provided?

Edit, also curious if they make a distinction not to bean other types of coins that are basically "market acceptable" Not talking about AT Vs NT.

Looks nicely struck; however, IMHO it's not naturally toned. Still, a very cool looking coin.

My understanding is that the bean means two things:

    (1) the coin is solid for the grade (A or B vs. C).

    (2) the coin hasn't been doctored

I haven't seen specific text on this on their site but this is my understanding from discussions of their service. If my understanding is mistaken, it would be good to know that.

Other services do make allowances for net grading of certain, otherwise ungradeable, coins as a service to the community as noted in their grading process descriptions.

If the coin is flat then it looks "crayola" but if it has luster then I say WOW!

A truly venerable Peace Dollar in terms of beautiful natural toning. You always come up with the A box stuff, bestclser1. The granny smith green, crimson, deep teal progression is a natural progression. Also, see that green housed in the valley of the neck of the eagle and how right next to it on the higher elevations are the crimson? That difference in color based on the relief on varying parts of the coin is also a hallmark of NT. The progression is smooth from left to right, but it's important that it has that second dimension of smoothness in transition from lowness in relief to highness in relief.

Color like this is rarely found on a Peace Dollar. Morgan Dollars and Silver Roosies, sure. On a Peace Dollar? Doesn't matter the date or grade - this is a phenomenal coin.image

The definition of moose depends on the individual. The first is more a definition of moose likely to come from a person selling a coin with an eye to profits. The latter is more on the order of a person looking to own the coin long-term with an eye more to rarity and beauty.

Amazing colors, Lloyd, for any coin, let alone for a Peace Dollar. Doesn't anyone want to know what it grades? Let me guess: NGC64?
