Bingo. A friend of mine forgot about some slabs in his car here in CA when it was over 100 for a few days, same effect.

Not my coin, but it's a scarce 2.5 holder and I don't think I'd be reholdering if twas me. Looks to have a nice outer ring which could be put to better a use than filling PCGS' dumpster.
Sweeeeeeeet Coin!!!!!
Get a Trueview when you send it in. I bet it would be impressive

<< <i>Would PCGS just reholder a heat damaged slab if the coin also suffered heat damage? That coin now appears to have cloudy surfaces which probably weren't there when this coin was slabbed. >>
...ah yes! and a perfect example why slabbed coins should be photographed from the TPG's when slabbed and put on their site for access.
"Before Franklin started his scientific experimentation, it was thought that electricity consisted of two opposing forces. Franklin showed that electricity consisted of a "common element" which he named "electric fire." Further, electricity was "fluid" like a liquid. It passed from one body to another — however it was never destroyed. In a letter to Peter Collinson, Franklin wrote that the "fire only circulates. "
That pretty much sums up wassup with his hair.

<< <i>As an aside, does one get to keep the "old green label" in the new slab? (poorly worded, but you get the idea). >>
Nope.
