What is your favorite error that you currently own and what is your ultimate error?

What is the error that you would love to own if money were not an issue? Or, what is your favorite error that you already own?
For me favorite error is a dual denomination

My ultimate error would be the two cent/dime mules - I would love to buy both of them!

I've been fortunate to own several over the years.
<< <i>My favorite error has always been the 1955 Doubled Die Obverse Lincoln Cent.

Ditto. No other error interests me the same way. I've been searching change for 50 years, hoping to find one. I have a 62BN but I'm not crazy about it. 65RD would be nice.

Some friends say their favorite is my 1895-O Dime Die Cap, others
prefer my 1898-P Quarter Die Cap Full Brockage Reverse.
I also like my Broadstuck Dimes & Off Centers - they make a great
presentation when shown with the two aforementioned errors.
Then again, my Buffalo errors are also favorites of mine as well.

I have a huge personal collection of error coins so to choose just one would be very hard .........

As far as ultimate error, I would say the IHC struck on a gold planchet, very cool IMO.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
So far as errors go my favorite among the coins that I own is the 1955 doubled die cent, but according to the purists, that's not an error.

And this belongs to one of my customer's but is an error I'd love to add to my collection!

[Sidebar: I recently checked the coin and the eagle's head is actually pointed at approximately 3 o'clock].
My ultimate error would be a Dahlonega half eagle struck significantly off-center.
<< <i>I too have several neat errors in my collection, but this one is probably my most unique not to mention quite popular when I bring it to shows.

Charmy, that is such a nice error and one to be very proud of.

And there is too many really cool errors out there to single out any one if money was not an issue..

Dave, what on earth was that struck on???
<< <i>This is my neatest error: an 1841-D quarter eagle (ex Harry Bass-Stanley Kesselman), with a dramatically rotated reverse. With the eagle's head pointed at 9 o'clock, it's easy to see why Harry snapped up this piece. I bought it on the floor at the 2004 FUN Show. Unfortunately, the TrueView doesn't capture the rotation. I may contact Phil and see if he can correct this.
My ultimate error would be a Dahlonega half eagle struck significantly off-center. >>
so it would look similar to this?

Yes, indeed. The coin's in the bank vault, but I'll check to make sure the next time I go. Thanks very much!
Edit: After checking the coin, the eagle's head is pointed at approximately 3 o'clock.
<< <i>my favorite is the 1955 ddo and the utimate would be a better grade
I have never owned the 55 DDO but have always wanted one.
I can't bring myself to buy one as, IMO they are way overpriced for how many examples are out there. (Yes I know Lincoln is a very popular series and thus the demand vs supply keeps this puppy high)
The funny thing is the coin I posted above could be the only 6 cent piece for the year or at most, one of a handful .......
..... and for the grade mine is ... to buy a same grade 55 DDO, the 55 would be way more than what I paid for this rarer error coin.
<< <i>Someone find me a clipped 1933-D cent and I'd sleep with it under my pillow every night. >>

Mike, I agree, and if I ever had this error in my hot little hands, it would never have left! No, but it is in the hands of a passionate Indian cent collector, that's for sure.

#2 would be a 1965 quarter on a silver planchet. That's my birthyear. Again, if we're doin' a fantasy thread, I suppose I'd have to have one of the dimes AND the quarters. (They did strike a few '65 silver dimes, too, didn't they?)
Edit to add ... wow, there's sure some cool lookin' stuff posted in this thread.
Other than that, a cent struck on a silver dime planchet would be great (wheatie or memorial), or of course the Indian Head on a 2.50 planchet.
Otherwise, an o/c (dramatically) of a silver dollar or silver half would be pretty cool.
