The 58 and 56 are beuts. I still need both of them. On my hit list for the next years or so.

Thanks guys. I am glad to see people on this thread again. I just got on the message boards and enjoy seeing other people's cards. Here is one of my favorite Clemente's.
My scanner stinks I can't get a clear pic.

Thanks Bobby Every time I try to start a Hank Aaron or Wille Mays set I end up selling them to buy more Clemente's.
But that's ok because Roberto is by far my favorite player.

Just got caught up on this thread. Great cards guys! It made me look through my own Clemente cards, which I hadn't done in a while. It also made me realize that I desperately need to replace my '68 (ugh).

Thanks! I've got one (not as nice as yours, though), but it's ungraded. I'll have to dig it out and see whether it might pull a 7.

I just got the 1956 White Back Clemente. To go with my Gray Back Clemente. the 7.5 looks as good as the 8.

This one I got back recently from a group sub. Was very pleased with this grade. Sorry about the grainy picture but scanner is out of commish. The card is also in a plastic bag to cover the case from marks.

The only thing i can see is up and down centering, plus a faint printing line. I could easily see it getting a 6 though.

A bit of a tilt, too, but that's a harsh grade, absent a difficult to see flaw. My 8OC Aaron looks a lot like it.

the tilt is very slight. i barely noticed it at first. basically i could easily see it getting a higher grade.

svtPony95... The '73 is stellar, that is one of my favorite cards.

I don't think I'll ever build the basic set again but I did add this to my collection at the National this year.

Here's my 73 does this have a chance for a bump?

Bobby nice cards. The 73 is centered and the corners look sharp it might get a bump.
I have seen 73 8.5's that did not look as nice. I hope you change your mind about the basic set.
