Thanks for sharing this information, Greg. It was a pleasure to chat with Larry at his WESPNEX and CoinFest booths. He was kind and genuine, and a very nice man.
I don't have much to add to these posts except echo their sentiments. I met Larry at Coinfest a few years ago to complete a BST transaction in person and he was very gregarious, funny and more than fair to deal with. My sincere condolences to his family and close friends.

I really liked Larry, one of the best guys I've ever dealt with on the BST. I'm sorry to hear of his passing, he was a kind...and funny fellow. He was always genuinely intersted in how I was doing.
Very sad news. I never met Larry in person, but rather communicated through PMs. He was always very pleasant and more than willing to share his knowledge. Rest in peace friend.

So sorry to hear about Larry. We did a bunch of business together through the years...he was a great guy and could always count on an easy and honest deal.

I spoke to Joe Brattole who co-runs the Parsippany show. Joe and Larry were very good friends. Joe asked me to say a few words around 9AM or so, to which I agreed to.
This is very sad news. I met Larry at a White Plains show, and he was very nice, especially to my kids. Very sad.

Wow - what horrible news! I was mourning not being able to peruse his table when I heard of his sudden retirement, but I can't even put into words what I am feeling now. Larry was really one of the nicest, most genuine guys out there. Within minutes of meeting him, he could make anyone feel like they've known him for years. RIP, Larry. You will be missed!
My brief contact with Sea Eagle was a barber half purchase at Coinfest . (If I remember , it was the first one , with the leaking roof) A few short conversations in the succeding shows in Stamford Ct. referenced some coin chatboard comments . While we never really knew each other , I still wish to offer my condolences to family and friends .

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
I am stunned and deeply saddened by this news. Larry and I did a decent amount of business together over the past few years and had become good friends with the same life long passion and love of coins.
We are the same age too, which probably contributed to our friendship and jokes back and forth for we understood each other pretty well!
I will miss his thoughtful, common sense posts on here. And the hearty laugh and smile.
Bump for the memory of a great guy! For some reason I've been revisiting some of the threads of some of our fallen forumites...many great ones have graced these halls!!! If you ever doubt how great this forum is, just venture into the archives...read anything from Bear....a wise old bear!

He gave me a truly incredible slab, a breakaway PCGS slab that falls apart at the seams when you handle it.
He asked me to share it with everyone after he was gone so everyone could enjoy his sense of humor.
I will bring it to the ANA show at the PCGS luncheon for everyone to enjoy in his memory.

Just one thing to mention, if anyone visits Larry flowers on the grave are inappropriate, leaving a stone on top of the headstone is what one does.
