What are your plans for Numismatics?
I've been collecting strong for 2 years or so and had to do an evaluation on my numismatic goals.
Plans are as follows:
-Continue to build and complete a set of Toned Franklins
-Continue to load up on physical silver
-Sell off all other U.S. Series (Except Large Cents)
-Eventually move into Florins and Spanish Colonials
-Final Resting Place = Ancients
How about you?

2. I bought a lot of numismatic books, runs of journals, and auction catalogs during the last three years----time to get serious and read them.
3. Figure out what I want to collect when I grow up---I am torn between large cents, 19th-century gold, historical mint medals, foreign coins that circulated in the colonial U.S.-pre-Civil War time span.
4. Attend more ANA summer seminars---I had a great time taking the Kraljevich/Goldstein 'Colonial Americana' course last month.

1. Continued inventory buildup to retirement along with some shows to compliment online store.
2. Buy them right allowing decent return on investment.
3. Maintain financial position of cash equal to at least 25% to 50% of inventory so good deals can be taken when available.
4. Load up on nice deals off auction sites, shows I set up at, etc.
5. Primarily concentrate on material under $500 allows for decent markup and not buried in big ticket stuff. Some coins over this - see #6.
6. Build up gold and platinum position with bullion coins and semi-mumismatics.
7. Keep taking advantage of auction deals where mod commems can be bought for BV+$15 or where max bid around 70% retail can take it.
8. Continue buying collections / estates from ads online, etc.
9. Junk greysheet (with its small hard to read print), coin facts has it all.
10. Buy mainly PCGS coins plus USM issues which can make 70 and then be flipped. Its fun to buy PCGS coins from office while bidding with IPhone.
