Another Buffalo GTG......1928-D....Grade Revealed

How about this one? Your opinions appreciated.

Thanks for the opinions. I think I'll send this one back in for another try. Once again, in hand the coin looks better than my photos show. One of these days I'll get around to buying a nice copy stand and figure out how to use this Nikon the right way.

    I'd call it a 66 or a 67...very nice coin.

That being said, my first instinct was 65 from the roughness at the high points of the designs.

Nice coin. I like 65 in part because of a couple of fairly large marks around the braid. By the way there are no PCGS 67s for this date. 66 is top pop.

I think yours is a lot nicer than my 28-d, which I'm going to post here just because the photo is handy and an interesting comparison perhaps..

oh my ... another killer strike on a frequently mushy date!

    WOW!

This one looks nicer too ... put me in the 65+ with a shot at higher camp

  • I agree with the consensus here- 65 to 65+. Awesome strike for the year/mint!

65 plus- I would rather think and hope it made it into a 66 holder based on the strength of the strength of the obverse

  • I'll bet that is an MS65 in an older holder. It's very nice for the date and mint, and might 65+ on resubmission.

Consensus seems to lean towards 66, in line with my thoughts. At a minimum, I think the coin deserves a "plus".
