While I continue to collect all U. S. half dimes, of all series, as I have for more than thirty years, my emphasis of late has been on locating a few last die marriages of the Liberty Seated half dimes as attributed by Dr. Daniel W. Valentine.

[Hey, did you notice all of the other collectors of Liberty Seated half dimes in this post? It's pretty lonely over here, and I like it that way. image]
They that can give up essential Liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither Liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin

Trying to put together a graded toner Frankie set. Cracking them and putting them in a capital holder. Pretty slow going. The real nice ones don't come around too often, plus my budget isn't the biggest. I try to pick one up monthly. Hard to do when I see something else that I think I "need"!!

Main focus is presently on large cents by date and major varieties.
Some interest in seated halves by date and mm.
I will however ALWAYS pick up better date walkers and Barber coins, and nice type coins, when I come across them image

I'm working on the Charlotte and Dahlonega gold type sets. I will also consider upgrading one of my gold type coins if the coin is nice and the price is half way reasonable.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
