Atypical coin dealer

Most of us think of coin dealers wearing mustard stained shirts and looking frumpy. Not so for Mike Byers. He lives in my small community and he dresses nicely and drives a newer Rolls Royce. A real disgrace to the profession I tell ya.

Of Mike? His Rolls? The way he dresses?

<< <i>I like Mike, very knowledgeable and has a great eye for dramatic errors, got this from him:
A coin like that doesn't take a great eye to comprehend
so you are being literal when you say "atypical" and not "a typical"

But, Realone, I can't even figure out the date on your coin!

<< <i>I don't usually have mustard stains on my shirt, but do wine stains count?
You should switch to boxed wine and a sippy straw for the brouse floor!

Frankly, this would not improve my image of someone. Would actually tend to make me think they are kind of a douchebag.

Byers used to own the mustard yellow Lamborghini below...

Proposed sentence completion--- "person suffering from a recto-cranial infarction"
I've never really gotten that impression. The last big show I attended was the ANA in Chicago last year, and I thought most all of the dealers I spoke with were dressed just fine IMO.

Related to this point, even if mustard stains were the norm, would that be how the dealer normally is, or are they a product of their surroundings, i.e. convention center food? You hold a coin show at a Ivar's in Seattle, guarantee you are going to have a lot of dealers with chowder stains and crab shell remnants on their shirt.
There's also a hot list, which is added to sparingly even when graded on a curve. At a show like Central States that list was still empty at 2pm Saturday.

Funny that the original post describing coin dealers as frumpy with mustard-stained shirts didn't bother you, but my crack about who would drive a car that is kind of the symbol of pomposity gets your panties in a wad. Geez, lighten up.

Keep in mind that some of us live in a world where mustard-stained shirts are no big deal.

Everywhere is freaks and hairies
Dykes and fairies, tell me where is sanity
Tax the rich, feed the poor
Till there are no rich no more?
I'd love to change the world
But I don't know what to do
So I'll leave it up to you
Population keeps on breeding
Nation bleeding, still more feeding economy
Life is funny, skies are sunny
Bees make honey, who needs money, Monopoly
I'd love to change the world
But I don't know what to do
So I'll leave it up to you
World pollution, there's no solution
Institution, electrocution
Just black and white, rich or poor
Them and us, stop the war
I'd love to change the world
But I don't know what to do
So I'll leave it up to you

Why would driving a nice car make anybody a d-bag or pompous? You stereotyped much??? But I guess haters got to hate and be jealous of other people's success. Sucks to be you.

You see, driving the car didn't make them that way. Being that way led to them buying the ostentatious car. Yes, it is a stereotype. Kind of like the original post implying coin dealers are slobs. Or the one about most show attendees needing a credit card if they want to talk to a female.
So sorry to offend. Didn't realize I had stumbled onto such sacred ground.
Coin dealers = slobs: OK
Collectors = socially inept dorks: OK
Rolls Royce owners = pompous: Crossing a line of decency!
