    Not on the coin!!!

    See the haze spot on the slab right under L in Liberty and how the lines are still there?

    It's something your picking up with your point and shoot camera doing angle shots as these lines are common on OGH's.

    I used to get this on OGH gold all the time prior to upgrading to a DSLR and a Copystand... Drove me insane.

    Also some of the older NGC slabs are heavily dimpled on clear acrylic that covers the coin and at an angle at times would create lil pock marks that looked like die rust! image

    Yes not seen by the naked eye... But the camera lens pics them up.

    I would have said it's an odd textile toning pattern.

    Seen it before (lines like that)

    Something similar happened with the Presidential Proof Dollars about 5 years back where the plastic housing made them look like they were covered in lathe lines.

    Coin Talk Reference because PCGS search tool is worthless since the forum got punched up to the cloud.
    I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    I have a blue holder that has this sort of finish on the plastic. It's like the mold wasn't fully smoothed and polished before putting into service.
