Sadly nothing new for me. Keeping my stack of Benjamins ready for an upcoming auction. Even worse it's not coin or bullion.
Bought my first vintage Rolex GMT 1675, and bidding on another next week. New "metal" addiction for me.
Asheland, that’s a great looking 100 oz bar. I’ve always liked those JM bricks but have been reluctant on buying one from APMEX or JM Bullion and such because they use stock photos. For a bar like that, I want to see the exact one I’m paying for. I’ve seen some nasty looking ones before and I’d be ticked off to get a pitted, gouged up bar. Yours looks fantastic!

CCC, nice obscure bars!
I know what you're talking about. I bought a 100 Engelhard bar from one of the major bullion companies and it looked like it was attacked with a hatchet. It had 100 oz of silver but it was certainly very ugly.

I agree. I want to see what I’m getting on the older 100 oz bars. This one was in my friend’s shop and I was able to look it over. It’s about as nice an example as you can find out there.
I ended up trading 100 ozs of miscellaneous silver for it.

Cmanbb, you have the most incredible collection of Engelhard bars that I’ve ever seen. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks DT74.....it's a work in progress. Coin collecting is where it all started, but engelhard collector bars have been more rewarding and enjoyable as of late.
OK... that does it... going to start looking for a silver bar that captures my 'I want it' feeling.... not sure what or when... I will know it when I see it.... I already have a few silver 'things'... such as a .45 cartridge, the lions head (or two)... a skull... maybe a few other pieces....just no silver bars. A-hunting I will go....Cheers, RickO

Just remember that saying....Talk is Cheap...(wink)...(wink)... and the other saying . How did it go again? "It did not happen without pictures?" Now we know that you have the skills to take and post pics. Can't wait to see what you might find out there and believe me there are plenty of beautiful poured bars of different names, shapes and sizes out there. Until just recently I did not know it either until i dared venture out of the PCGS pond.
Special Thanks to cmanbb. Not only is he highly regarded here but also out there. Very knowledgeable and unselfish in sharing his knowledge and expertise. Collection of Engelhards you can only dream of owning just for starters.
One more bar in Honor of those who served and who made the Ultimate sacrifice for our Freedom & Democracy. Here is to Memorial Day 2018. Its an (AGS) American Gold and Silver 50 oz .999 old poured silver bar. If i am not mistaken they were made in the 70's Pls. correct me if am wrong. Nonetheless here she is
That's impressive! I'd like to do that, but likely will never complete it. I have three different 10oz pours and (I think) 3 or 4 different struck 10oz bars. It's still fun to find a new type when I can.

@cmanbb Are you doing a complete Engelhard type set?
It looks like you have most of the different types. Fun stuff no doubt!

Not complete type set (all weights) just complete 10oz & 20oz series. Possibly 5oz too.
