Supposedly billions in gold, silver and emeralds

Still no details on the booty itself but claims of $17 billion are being thrown out there from other sources.

I counted quite a few teacups. On a Spanish warship? Kinda interesting. Were the Brits in hot pursuit of the treasure, I wonder?

I would love to see the emeralds....Emeralds have always intrigued me... That deep green of a flawless stone is beautiful.... Cheers, RickO

Great read! Shipwrecks fascinate me for some reason. I remember the fanfare when Robert Ballard found the Titanic in 1985.

Very interesting... I love these stories. However, I have not been attracted to the acquisition of recovered coins. The premiums associated with these relics are - IMO - ridiculous. Sure, would love to have a recovered coin for the history - but at a reasonable price. I do not want to pay for the work... :D:D Yeah, I know, kind of silly. Cheers, RickO
