Possible planchet chip?

I have a 2001-d penny that looks like the planchet was chipped, not sure what to do with it

    The error you are referring to is a clip. Your coin mimics a clip, but might just be damaged. The probkem is that once the inner zinc core was exposed it deteriorates so before long it won't matter what caused it.
