I like the design on the T2 gold dollar and found one.

Anyhow..... now it's in the box. :)

A 50 but I'm getting cheap. :D

Once you have newped, it's customary to clean up after yourself. ;)

I need a Type 2 to complete my $1 gold set too.....I'm just waiting for $300 gold again. ;)

Part of the attraction of coins is the history. Melt value of that coin is about $62.50 while a silver dollar's melt value is about $12.74. Think of the magnitude of the Comstock Lode. All that silver coming on the market at once. Bryant's Cross of Gold speech, fascinating stuff. Coins have such stories to tell.

Very nice - and gold is always special.... I have not collected these little beauties myself (well, I have a tiny Mexican and Krugerrand that came along by accident). They are so tiny.... I guess I just like the feel of the big gold coins... Cheers, RickO

    Thanks, but hell, I can't ...quit !
This junk gets in your blood. Y'all know that. ;)

I...have...sold a chunk of GOOD stuff, and have more coming up.

I'll still waste my money on stupid coins, though. Not quite as MUCH money as I fear my heirs should only get screwed a LITTLE bit.
Confining my acquisitions to stuff I can lose "half of" :D:(:p and still have beans on the table is my new plan. :)

That's an attractive example of the Type 2. Congrats on your NEWP.
