Just found this in my pocket change. I'm not going to be rich. ![]()
The image shows the surface of a Lincoln cent (18X) with a depression remaining where I removed the light colored "particle" (plastic?) at the bottom of the image. I tried to "smush" the struck thru (grease?) with no luck as it was very solid. Note the "pattern" remaining inside the depression above the debris.

An incredible numismatic find, thanks for sharing!
Can you show more of the coin for some perspective? Where and how large is this? Interesting.
Awesome pictures!

Those looks like gold flakes...could it be?

I hate these newbies who post their pocket change with alleged errors.

LOL! At least I knew this was not a doubled die!
Struck thru in field at 3 OC.

Amazing the fantastic one can find if they look!
1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
Good stuff!
Collectors should save these posts for future reference -- as they also should save Bill Jones recent gold posts.
Good lesson. Look over your pocket change before just throwing it in the jar, and learn the difference between something consequential and some of the roadkill we see too much of lately.
A series on bowtie fantastics would be helpful.

It is surprising the minor anomalies that can be found in pocket change...Not of value, but interesting. Cheers, RickO
No no no - you all have it wrong. It is simply a doubled die. Can't you see it?

How the hell did you find that???
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
I go to the grocery store a lot.
I've got over 40 lbs of cents to look over when I get the chance. No telling how much bank interest I've lost but there is a 5% chance a 1969-S DDO will be in the group as the assortment goes back that far and half of it was from FL.
"5% chance"
Aren't you the optimistic one?
I have a very strong gut feeling that one or two are in the mix. Optimistic? Yes, isn't that why we all look at our change?
