What Do You Think Of George T. Morgans First Design For The Dollar.

I am thinking he had a great design going for it, I wonder who had the final say.

Don't! GEM PROOf is >MS67 and save your money for a real good Morgan but if you must....look for the confirmed grade
Reverse made it on the Trade Dollar.
Liberty looks very Italian.
They probably didnt use it because he made his name way too big on the reverse. They wouldnt even let Brenner with those tiny initials. This was just way overboard. Show some humility for god's sake, man.
That is a beautiful silver round... just the way I like them.... clean, crisp and clear...Cheers, RickO
... and twenty-cent piece!
See http://www.doubledimes.com for a free online reference for US twenty-cent pieces
That was not Morgan's "dollar design" at any stage of the work. Disappointing in SI licensing it's logo to this greedy venture.
Who's venture is this?
Nice, I like it !!!
A lot better looking than Anna Williams though.
Straight from "The Private Sketchbook of George T Morgan". I also have his $100 design.

Here's the claim from the MCM website:

I don't have a copy of this sketchbook, but since @RogerB said it's not Morgan's dollar design, I'm inclined to agree.
The eagle's head does not match the sketchbook photo in @bsshog40's post above (instead it appears to be a copy of the final trade dollar eagle).
And not as beautiful in my view as Morgan's 1879 "Washlady" or "Schoolgirl" pattern dollars.
