Pics are pre-submission. 1916-D 3HL is now tied for top pop, didn't get the attribution the first time around. Sorry for the hasty cut and paste job. lThanks to forum members Koynekwest. Buffalo Iron Tail, Manorcourtman and Ad4400 who recommended it was worth another shot. 35-D was in an old green PCI-45 holder. Not pictured are 27=D 3HL that got a VF-30 and a 26-D 3HL that was graded VF-20.

I can speak for all of us Buff lovers by saying GREAT JOB!
Pete
What a nice group of Buffs. Great stuff, especially the '16-D. Best I can do is XF45, which is a part of my permanent set of abraded dies.
Sweet, congratulations !!!
Very nice Buffs..... Well done... Cheers, RickO
is the 35-D a D/D/D?
4 Ds
With such dramatic repunching I'm surprised I was never aware of the variety.
I sought out the 38 DDS and since they weren't expensive and many times nice color and usually no premium I ended up with a small group of pretty buffalos..
Wish I had been aware of this variety since I tended to check out the 34-D and 35-D for the several (34-38) short sets I put together.
I love varieties and see the D/D on the 26, but sure don't see anything missing on the 16-D?
Very nice and well done
According to Ron's book, it's the least dramatic of all the 3-1/2 leg varieties. But when you compare it to the regular issue 16-D, the difference is more noticeable.
Thanks for the info.
Tho it's a collectable 3 1/2 legged it's not missing as much as the other dates of the variety, such as the 1917-D.
