OK, I know this is the US forum, but this is my main posting ground, so wanted to share it here. I just picked up this 1819 8 Escudos! It matches one I had awhile back, but already sold. Enjoy!
And here is it's twin that I sold awhile back:

Nice!
Very nice! I like it a lot.
Maybe a little too pretty.

That’s nice. I’ve been watching those for a while now. There’s a lot of history there and the gold content is a big plus.
Love it.
That's a special coin.

You have chosen wisely grasshopper
I'm sure that back in the early 1800's plenty of merchants would have been happy to take an 8 Escudo coin in trade.
Lovely coin.

Impossible! It could be prettier if the toning went ALL the way around the rim!

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Definitely THUMBS UP! Thanks for sharing.
Sweet and a very tough Mint to boot!
You are the toned coin master! Another stellar addition to your collection.
Cool.
Pretty damn cool!

nice coin.
I should have picked up some of those when I was living in Portugal.. at that time they would have been quite reasonable. Hindsight is always 20/20. Cheers, RickO
Nice one for sure!

Beautiful coin . . . And the great thing is these did circulate when the US was a fledging nation!
1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
Hoard the keys.
Wow!!! A coin I've always wanted to own.
