OK, I know this is the US forum, but this is my main posting ground, so wanted to share it here. I just picked up this 1819 8 Escudos! It matches one I had awhile back, but already sold. Enjoy!

I'm sure that back in the early 1800's plenty of merchants would have been happy to take an 8 Escudo coin in trade.

I should have picked up some of those when I was living in Portugal.. at that time they would have been quite reasonable. Hindsight is always 20/20.
