Why is this a Minor Variety DDR? 1962 Jefferson Nickel.

When I look at this I don't get it. I see other coins with less doubling rec the DDO or DDR and this one get's " Minor Variety DDR " I don't get it.

I don't know why, but it's "cool" !!!
It is a Minor Variety DDR because it is not listed in the redbook nor the CPG.
Nice coin, neat to have.
Nice, but minor because it isn't popular, yet
BHNC #203
there are a few dozen ddr listed for the year and quite a few are strong imo. this i'm sure has something to do with it not being in the cpg/fs listings.
nice spread btw.
.
Minor, however, still accredited..... Don't worry, be happy.....
Cheers, RickO

Personally, I'd have gone with ANACS for an accurate attribution. Send it to CONECA, they'll attribute it and forward it to ANACS.
PCGS is stuck in CPG Purgatory. They desperately attempt to attribute certain CPG coins but in some cases fail miserably by NOT following up with CONECA Documentation.
The name is LEE!
Yes this is crazy how it does not exist if it's not in the Cherry picker. Maybe in book series #15 it will be in there and then all of a sudden they can see it's there, Just crazy I don't get it.

It looks like NGC will do it

and probably ANACS and ICG
Very cool that's a cool way to look up some stuff. Thanks I prefer PCGS but if you cant get the service you need to go where you have to.
