1970 S small date and 1970 S large date lincolns

Many people do not know the difference between a small and large date 1970 S Lincoln penny. What I need is a strong reference guide to identify the two coins. It boils down to the font on the 0. The font on a large date 0 is much bigger than the 0 font on the small date. I have Never seen a large font 0 on a small date coin. Question..do 1970 S small date pennies ever have a large font 0?
I have had many discussions with dealers on this subject. Appreciate any help or references that will verify the question.
Thank You,
John*

Look at the '9' and 'LIBERTY', not the '0'.
When you have the two coins side by side, it is really easy to see the difference in the "0." It is not easy with one coin. Most folks I know use the weak "Liberty."
Here's the difference:

Thank you insider 2,
You are the only person that's ever recognized the small and large 0. People just seem to be in outer space on the 0's. Why would they put a large font 0 on a small date coin?
Thank you again,
John
the crease in the 7 on the large date seems to make identifying each coin the easiest method
Quite easy to find in Proof sets on ebay if you have a good eye.

Here is one I made in a set got graded and sold on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-S-SMALL-DATE-LINCOLN-PCGS-PR66RD/222872257674?hash=item33e438c48a:g:CrIAAOSwFShaoGVS

@BuffaloIronTail ... Excellent diagnostic pictures... Cheers, RickO
I first look at the 9. If the upper loop of the 9 is pointed and points more to the 0 than the mintmark, I look for the weak strike on Liberty. I once found about 10 of them in 5 non obw rolls. Now just to find that elusive ddo.

This.
I guess I'm fortunate...either that or it's because I have been playing with "pennies" for as long as I can remember....but I don't have any trouble telling the difference.
The small dates just jump out at me.
That being said, I will admit I can't tell the difference between 1981-S proof type 1 and 2. And I will never be able to tell, no matter how many times I am shown the "flat" top of the S ......bah !!!!
I have a friend who can spot them easily but can't tell a Kennedy accented hair from a normal 64 proof no matter how many times I have shown him..nor can he spot type B qtr reverses...but the 81-S type 2's.....he's a whiz.
Go figure.
