Here is my latest pick up. Most consider it a widget, which is fine, because I like widgets. It's a raw 1881-S Morgan with a look that I love and find mostly in old NGC Fatty holders. I just couldn't resist this one for a couple of Jackson's.

You and I have very similar tastes. Don't get me wrong, I like a rainbow toned Morgan as much as the next guy, but I am really drawn to coins with this look as well.

Nice, some of the common dates like that with the right toning have gone very high indeed at auction. Good eye.

A beauty for sure, funny I bought an 81-S on Monday that is incredibly nice (no toning) but icy white... @ricko would approve!

I'm so glad that the San Francisco Mint did such an outstanding job making these dollars back then. It really gives us collectors some great coins to collect almost 140 years later at reasonable prices.
