Quad City Coin Show with display photo's

B y all accounts, the show was a success again this year. Dealers reported that sales were good. Visitors reported getting what they had sought after and things were well run. The Youth auction (with the youth as bidders in their own auction was also a success with lots of excited kids showing off their new treasures. There were several displays, I'll post them all, but in separate posts. These first few were ones that I submitted, the first was about the LaVere Redfield hoard, the 2nd was about the 2 cent piece which included a magnified George Washington Pattern 2 cent piece. I was under the weather all day, but still enjoyed myself, even made my wife happy by picking out a couple dozen old postcards for her collection.

I'll repeat myself from a previous post and tell you that planning these displays really adds a fun dimension to your hobby.

I forgot to mention my new purchases at the show. I picked up a 2018 ASE for that set, and a NGC holdered 1887 Morgan because of a very clearly defined crescent toning, another Morgan PCGS holdered MS65 with lovely toning, though not wild, and an 1878 Morgan raw MS63 Vam 117. I've been neglecting my Morgans for some time now and these caught my eye and interest.
